Association “Sport Club Comac Sport” took part in the Online Erasmus+ Sport Info Day on 23-24 March 2021. The event was opened by Mariya Gabriel, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth, and Marc Tarabella, Member of the European Parliament. The opening session was moderated by Sophie Beernaerts, Head of Erasmus+ Department – EACEA. Yves Le Lostecque, Head of Erasmus Mundus and Sport Unit – EACEA, and Luciano Di Fonzo, Deputy Head of Erasmus Mundus and Sport Unit – EACEA, provided valuable information about the design of the new programme. The Erasmus+ Sport Policy priorities were presented by Stefano Pintus, Sport Unit, DG EAC – European Commission, Pedro Folgado, Portuguese Presidency – Chair of the Working Party on Sport, Heidi Pekkola, European Olympic Committee – EU Office, Romain Fermon, International School Sport Federation. Florencia Van Houdt, Head of Sport Unit – DG EAC, European Commission, was the moderator of that session.
The horizontal policy priorities will be: Inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training youth and sport; Environment and fight against climate change; Innovative practices for digital transformation, readiness, resilience and capacity, and Common values, civic engagement and participation. The key priorities of the future programme will be: offering a more inclusive and accessible programme; making a more environmentally sustainable programme and fostering sustainable behaviours; promoting the use of digital tools and the development of digital skills; enhancing active participation in the programme and in society, and fostering synergies between different funding schemes.
Good examples from the Member States were given by Viktoria Slavkova, Director, Ministry of Youth and Sport, Bulgaria, and Martina Jeričević, Head of Sport sector, Croatia. The submission procedure and the evaluation process of the project proposals were thoroughly explained by Marco Boursier, Miguel Romero, Gael Broze and Myriam Rancon from EACEA. The online Info Day was organized by the European Commission and the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). It provided a detailed insight into the political context, future programme, simplification and funding opportunities in the field of sport, in view of the new Programming Period 2021-2027.
