We are delighted to announce that on 11.11 an Online Conference was held under the EDSPAA project.
The main goal of the project is to include European traditional sports and games / ETSG / as a way of building physical culture, social inclusion and the development of values in adolescents as European citizens.
Sport Club “Comac Sport” (the Project Coordinator) and the 3 partners: Športno Drustvo Media Šport, Slovenia; Agrupamento de Escolas de Barcelos, Portugal and Salas Vidusskola, Latvia took active part in the meeting. During the Online Conference the participants delivered their presentations on traditional sports in the 4 countries (tennis [Bulgaria] / basketball [Portugal] / volleyball [Latvia] / football [Slovenia), based on the following questions:
1. Short history – how, where and why?
2. How can tennis/basketball/volleyball/football support the development of key skills?
3. How does tennis/basketball/volleyball/football influence the formation of “good” values?
4. How can different parts (segments) of tennis/basketball/volleyball/football be interwined with the elements of another traditional sport? how can this lead to the occurrence of new forms of sports games?
The conference led to productive decisions and arrangements in connection with the planned upcoming events and project activities.
